Privacy Policy
Tugma is a pre-launch product. This policy covers this website and the early access waitlist. It explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it, in line with the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173). When the Tugma app launches, it will come with its own privacy policy covering payment and sales data.
Tugma is operated by Jedd Lim, who is the personal information controller responsible for your data under the Data Privacy Act.
What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we collect only what you type into the form:
- Your name and email address
- Your mobile number, if you give it
- Your business type
- The POS app you use, if you fill it in
- Your consent, the date and time you signed up, and the page you signed up from
We don't ask for payment details, e-wallet details, or passwords, and the waitlist form doesn't collect any transaction data.
Why we use it
- To contact you about early access, including when spots open for your kind of store
- To decide which stores and features to prioritize (for example, which POS apps to support first)
- To answer questions you send us
We process your details based on the consent you give when you tick the box on the form. We won't use them for anything unrelated, and we never sell them.
Where it's stored and who sees it
Waitlist sign-ups are stored in a Google Sheet in our Google Workspace account. Google processes this data for us as a service provider, and its servers may be located outside the Philippines. Access is limited to the Tugma team members who need it to run the waitlist. We don't share your details with GCash, Maya, any bank, or any POS provider.
Cookies and analytics
This site doesn't use cookies or analytics trackers.
How long we keep it
We keep your waitlist details until Tugma launches and for up to 12 months after, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. If you become a customer, the app's privacy policy applies from then on.
How we protect it
Your details travel over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. The sheet is private to our account, and only team members who need it can open it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach ever affects your data, we'll notify you and the National Privacy Commission as the law requires.
Your rights
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:
- Be informed about how your data is used (this page)
- Access the details we hold about you
- Correct anything that's wrong
- Withdraw your consent, or object to how we use your data
- Have your details deleted
- Get a copy of your details in a common format
- File a complaint with the National Privacy Commission
To use any of these, email support@tugma.app from the address you signed up with. We'll reply within 15 days. You can also ask to leave the waitlist at any time, and we'll delete your details.
Children
The waitlist is for business owners. We don't knowingly collect details from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affects how we use details you've already given us, we'll email you first.
